The Dallas Stars are celebrating 20 years in Dallas during the 2012-13 season with special events, commemorative merchandise, all honoring our past and present players. The club will also wear a commemorative 20-year patch on its jerseys. The design of this patch will be released at a later date.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE STARS’ 82-GAME SCHEDULE
The Stars are scheduled to play 82 games during the 2012-13 campaign, with 41 contests at home and 41 on the road. The NHL schedule remains heavily-structured around conference play, especially against the team’s respective division.
Dallas plays in the NHL’s Pacific Division of the Western Conference, and will play 24 divisional games against rivals Anaheim, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Jose (six times each — three at home, three away).
The Stars will faceoff a total of 40 times against non-division Western Conference foes in the Central Division (Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Nashville and St. Louis) and the Northwest Division (Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton, Minnesota and Vancouver), with four games against each opponent (twice at home, twice away).
Dallas will play a total of 18 games against Eastern Conference opponents, skating against all 15 Eastern teams once and facing off against three Eastern clubs (NY Rangers, Tampa Bay and Washington) both home and away.
The nine Eastern Conference teams that the Stars will host at American Airlines Center are: Buffalo, Carolina, Montreal, New Jersey, NY Rangers, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Washington and Winnipeg.
The home schedule features 20 weekend contests (5 Friday, 12 Saturday, 3 Sunday). Dallas will host five weekend matinees:
• Sunday, Nov. 25 vs. Los Angeles (2 p.m.)
• Saturday, Dec. 1 vs. Pittsburgh (1 p.m.)
• Saturday, Jan. 12 vs. Montreal Canadiens (2 p.m.)
• Sunday, Feb. 17 vs. Calgary Flames (5 p.m.)
• Sunday, March 3 vs. New Jersey Devils (2 p.m.)
